Dr. Mustak Ibn Ayub

Molecular Oncologist and

Associate Professor, Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology

Dr. Mustak Ibn Ayub received his DPhil in Oncology from the University of Oxford, UK.  

 

At the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, University of Dhaka, Dr. Ayub spearheads research in the field of molecular cancer study with translational outlook. His focus is on the implementation of targeted therapies for some of the most challenging cancers, including colorectal, lung, breast, and cervical cancers.

 

Dr. Ayub’s collaborative effort extends beyond borders, working with leading oncologists both within Bangladesh and internationally. His efforts are not confined to the laboratory; they resonate through his contributions to the Training of Trainers (ToT) program, which aims to enhance the breast clinic registration and referral system management at BSSMU.

An esteemed educator, Dr. Ayub has imparted his knowledge through lectures at the colorectal surgery department of BSMMU, sharing insights that bridge the gap between research and clinical practice.

 

His leadership in molecular oncology has made him a sought-after speaker at numerous conferences across Bangladesh, where he advocates for the integration of molecular practices in cancer care and treatment.
